St. Luke’s Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) was established in 1985 and continues to hold a special place in the community.
Statement of Purpose
The purpose of establishing a preschool program at St. Luke's United Methodist Church is to provide opportunities which meet the educational need of the early childhood years in a Christian environment for children in the community. Realizing that in the first 6 years of life a child forms his or her basic patterns for coping with life, the church will provide an educational program which considers the developmental needs of the child and emphasizes growth in all areas -- physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual -- as a continuous interrelated process. |
