Lent at St. Luke's

Lent is 40 day season of preparation for the celebration of Easter. Historically, Lent involves intentional times of fasting, prayer, and personal reflection. This holy season begins with the service of Ash Wednesday, which we will observe at St. Luke’s on February 14, at 6:00 p.m. During the season, our sermon series will focus on the Last Days of Jesus Life. See below for more information.

The Last Days

During the season of Lent, we will read of several moments in the last days of Jesus’ earthly life. In each moment, we will see Jesus enacting some sign of who he is and what he has come to do. We will see Jesus heal a dead man, wash the feet of his disciples, and speak truth to the powers of this world; finally laying down his life for all of us. In every moment of these last days, we will marvel at Jesus’ passion and love for each of us.
