St. Luke's Preschool

The St. Luke’s Preschool was established in 1985 and continues to hold a special place in the community. The Preschool serves children ages 8 weeks through completion of pre-K4. We typically enroll children in August and January of each school year.

The purpose of the Preschool is to provide opportunities which meet the educational need of the early childhood years in a Christian environment for children in the community. Realizing that in the first 6 years of life a child forms his or her basic patterns for coping with life, the church provides an educational program which considers the developmental needs of the child and emphasizes growth in all areas -- physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.

Our curriculum leans strongly on a "LEARN BY DOING" approach.  It is our belief that children need play-based instruction and facilitation where learning is always fun!  Whether through art, science, music & movement, etc., we focus on a holistic approach where all content areas are integrated into our learning activities together.  Our wonderful teachers strive to create warm and welcoming environments where hands-on learning is the norm.  Our curriculum has successfully prepared students for Kindergarten for over 30 years in Jackson.
