  • rev. dr. chuck meador

    Senior Pastor

    Chuck is currently serving as the Pastor of Poplar Springs Drive UMC in Meridian. Chuck loves studying and teaching scripture. He is also passionate about issues related to poverty alleviation as well as local missional outreach and discipleship. Chuck received a B.S. degree in Psychology form the University of Southern Mississippi in 1997; a M.Div degree from Candler School of Theology, Emory University, in 2000; and a D.Min from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2006. Chuck has always said his best asset in ministry is his wonderful wife Katie. They have been married twenty-two years and have three children Lindsay age thriteen, Nathan age twelve, and Jonathan age six. His hobbies include playing with his children, hiking, camping, reading, playing guitar and woodworking.

  • Ms. Leah Batson

    Director of Children's Ministries

    Leah Batson has been a member of St. Luke's since 2010, and grew up in Pearl, MS. Leah graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a B.A. in History Education. Leah served as a high school history teacher for nine years before joining the St. Luke's staff. She and her husband, Jon, have four children.

  • Ms. Helen Bowen

    Director of Music Ministries

    Helen has provided leadership for our music ministries for over twenty years. Her skill and passion for worship are the driving force behind our outstanding Adult Choir, which moves us all with its praises in music. We are grateful for the many hours Helen devotes to her work at St. Luke's.

    Church secretary

    Laurie is a Jackson native and along with her husband, Max, has been a St. Luke’s member since 1987. They have three daughters who grew up at St. Luke’s, one of whom has taught at the church preschool for the last 10 years. Their 5 grandchildren are growing up at St. Luke’s and in the preschool as well. Laurie loves spending time with her family and feels blessed to work  surrounded by her St. Luke’s family.

  • Mr. Victor Hernandez

    Building Superintendent

    Victor plays an instrumental role in the daily life of the church. His skills range from expertise in computers to making sure the air conditioning is working! His genuine love for Christ bears evidence in the joy he gives to his work and is reflected in the love St. Luke's members have for him.

    In her role Fran often provides the first impression visitors have of our church, giving them a warm, friendly welcome. St. Luke's counts itself lucky to have such a dedicated, cheerful worker as Fran, who can always be counted on for whatever assistance is needed.

    Angela Powell, is a 2015 graduate of Murrah High School in Jackson, MS and a current student at Millsaps College. In high school she accompanied the school choir. She is already an accomplished pianist and a wonderful part of our worship leadership team.

  • Ms. Mary-Crosby Roberts

    Director of St. Luke's Preschool

    Mary-Crosby is a native of Jackson, MS. After completing an education degree from Ole Miss, she earned her Masters in Learning and Instruction from Vanderbilt University. With her husband, Walker, she is the mother of two wonderful children! Mary-Crosby enjoy spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors.
